Reid set to strengthen

Hamilton Academical, 14:57, December 23, 2009 ,

Hamilton have secured an extension to the loan deal with Mickael Antoine-Curier subject to the striker accepting new terms.

The initial loan spell was due to end on January 1 but Accies have agreed a deal with Dundee to extend the forward's stay until the end of the season, and must now convince Antoine-Curier to remain at New Douglas Park.
"We've agreed with Dundee to bring him here until the end of the season," Reid said.
"I have just got to agree terms with Mickael Antonie-Curier. I'm hopeful that will go through in the next 48 hours.
"It comes down to finances. He's like every other player, he has ambitions of playing at the highest level he can, and there is nothing the matter with that.
"He has been absolutely brilliant for me. The improvement in him from day one to now is staggering.
"He should have scored more than five goals and I'm sure he will continue to score goals for us."
Reid, who is also hopeful of extending Guillaume Beuzelin's loan spell at the club, admits he is keen to strengthen the squad further when the transfer window opens.
"I think we need to add to the squad, we have let four or five players go recently," he added.
"The reason for that was to clear the decks and create space for other people to come in. I just hope we get the people we have earmarked.
"We don't have a big squad, maybe about 15 or 16 first-team players, so we have to add to that."
