Elliot can be difference maker - Laszlo

Hearts, 15:01, November 18, 2009 ,

Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo says he is hopeful Calum Elliot will provide the goalscoring touch his side is missing.

The Jambos have failed to hit the back of the net on a regular basis this season, with David Witteveen, Gary Glen and Christian Nade all faltering in front of goal.
With the Hearts board having failed to bring in a big name striker in the summer, Laszlo says he will have to pin his hopes on 22-year-old Elliott as he makes his return to training having been out since August.
"We must wait and see what happens with Calum, it is not so easy for him. He has lost 50 per cent of his meniscus cartilage in his knee and it will not be easy for him to come back," said Laszlo.
"But we hope all the best for him and for us.
"He was, before his injury, the most dangerous player from the striking position and we need him back.
"We know we need a striker with the killer instinct."
