Elliot on the mend

Calum Elliot is targeting a first-team comeback for Hearts following confirmation he can resume training.

The 22-year-old has been sidelined for three months because of knee surgery but could be back as early as December on the back of confirmation midfielder Laryea Kingston also expects to return soon.

He told his club's official website: "It's been a while and I just want to get back training properly and then take things from there.

"It will be up to the manager when I get back into the team but all I can do is work hard and try to impress."
