Marius Zaliukas will miss Hearts' clash at Motherwell and could be out until mid-December while Suso Santana needs an operation.
The Jambos have received the news that Zaliukas' ankle injury, which has kept him out for the over a month, is worse than first thought and is now facing the prospect of another six weeks on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Santana has been told by specialists that he needs surgery to cure a hernia problem but the winger will be able to face 'Well at Fir Park on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Marian Kello is ready to return from a shoulder injury but the Jambos will give a late fitness test to Ian Black, who is rated 50-50 with a hamstring problem.
