Laszlo a big Wallace fan

Hearts, 15:20, October 9, 2009 ,

Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo hopes Lee Wallace gets the opportunity to show what he can do for Scotland at the weekend.

The 22-year-old has been called up to the Scotland squad for the friendly with Japan on Saturday, following the withdrawal of Celtic's Danny Fox.
The Edinburgh-born star has become an integral part of the Hearts side and Laszlo feels he would benefit from a run-out with the senior squad.
"It would be very good for Lee if he is picked and I hope he gets the opportunity," he told Hearts News Today. "It is a friendly international and it might be time for new players to be tried out. But this is up to the coach and I don't tell him his job.
"Whatever happens, happens. Obviously Lee will be hoping to get a game as he hasn't played for the senior team yet, although he has lots of experience from the U-21 side.
"If he does get his first cap then we will all be delighted for him."
