Zaliukas could face spell out
Hearts, 14:59, October 13, 2009 ,
Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo has admitted defender Marius Zaliukas is unlikely to be fit enough to face Aberdeen this weekend.
The Lithuania international continues to be hampered by the ankle injury he suffered when on international duty last month and Laszlo admits he may need up to three weeks rest before he is back to full fitness.
"Zaliukas is definitely doubtful for Saturday," Laszlo told the Evening News. "He came back injured from the national team last month, he played one game against Celtic but he was not 100 per cent fit and we had to take him off.
"He told me he can play but he is not 100 per cent fit. I think he needs two or three weeks.
"He has inflammation in his ankle and we must be careful."
