Hibs defender fit for Falkirk clash
Hibernian, 14:51, November 25, 2009 ,
Hibernian manager John Hughes says Sol Bamba will be given a pain killing injection to get him through the game against Falkirk.
The Hibs defender has been suffering with a knee problem throughout much of the season and has need injections to get him through recent games for club and country.
Bamba was involved in the Ivory Coast's recent games against Guinea and Germany before returning to the SPL for Saturday's 1-1 draw with St Mirren.
Hughes says in order for Bamba to keep his dream of playing at the World Cup alive he needs to keep on appearing for Hibs, meaning the injections are a necessary evil.
"I'm delighted for Sol - he's fighting for a World Cup place. We have another jag lined up for him. People wonder about injections but it is a jag to help take inflammation away," said Hughes.
