Hibs rue attacking slip ups

Hibernian, 12:58, October 5, 2009 ,

John Hughes felt missed chances cost his Hibs team against Dundee United and believed they did enough to win the match.

Having taken a first-half lead through Merouane Zemmama, Hibs were pegged back in the second period after an equaliser from United defender Andy Webster.
Hibs dominated in the first 45 minutes at Easter Road, but Hughes felt his men should have killed off the game during that stint.
The Hibs boss revealed: "I said to my assistant Brian Rice that I hoped those (missed chances) didn't come back to haunt us, but they did.
"We didn't start the second half well but I felt we did enough to win the match."
Hughes added: "All credit to the boys, I'm delighted with them although disappointed with the result."
