Hibs stars face chop
Hibernian, 13:38, January 14, 2010 ,
Hibs manager John Hughes has warned his players that they have to improve their performances or leave the club.
Hibs have lost only one of their last fourteen games but Hughes has been unimpressed by their recent displays, which include a 4-1 loss to Rangers and an unconvincing victory against minnows Irvine Meadow in the Scottish Cup.
Hibs travel to Dundee United on Saturday and Hughes told Hibernian TV that although his side have been winning, their level of performance has been unacceptable.
The manager said: "At the start on Saturday, I felt we were only in second gear - which is very disappointing and I told the players I would not put up with that, you keep getting another chance to rectify it but eventually your chances will run out."
