Hughes and Riordan scoop awards

Hibs manager John Hughes and striker Derek Riordan have been named SPL manager and player of the month for September respectively.
Hughes, a former Hibs player, has made a great start to his tenure as Easter Road boss since his switch from Falkirk during the summer and has been rewarded with the Clydesdale Bank Premier League manager of the month for September.
The Edinburgh club currently sit third in the SPL, with just goal difference separating them from second placed Rangers, and lost just one game throughout September.
Riordan has been in fine form of late and his displays have led to a recall to the Scotland squad, the 26-year-old has netted five times for Hibs already this season.
