Hughes happy with progress

John Hughes believes Hibs' 1-1 draw at Rangers on Saturday shows his squad have 'come a long way' already this season.

Hibs fell behind early on at Ibrox, with Kris Boyd breaking the deadlock after just eight minutes, but the Edinburgh club fought back well with Anthony Stokes grabbing an equaliser in the second half.
Hughes, who only took charge at Easter Road in the summer, is pleased with the way his squad is improving and took plenty of positives from that draw - which leaves Hibs in third.
When asked about their progress, the manager said: "I think we have come a long way, Saturday gave me a big indication of where we are, the boys showed a lot of character to dig it out having gone a goal down so early."
