McBride reveals Euro hopes
Hibernian, 14:33, July 16, 2009 ,
Kevin McBride feels the Hibs squad should be targeting a place in Europe this season and insists everyone is 'very positive'.
The new signing made his debut for Hibs on Wednesday night, as John Hughes' men defeated Selkirk 7-0 at Yarrow Park - with Kurtis Byrne scoring a hat-trick.
McBride is hoping the Hibees can gel quickly and start well in order to put themselves in a strong position in the race for a place in the Europa League place.
He told The Scotsman said: "We have a great bunch of guys at Hibs and we are aiming high this season. We have to set ourselves standards and a European spot would be that aim.
"Everybody at the club is very positive and the game against Selkirk was the first step because they were very competitive and therefore gave us a great workout."
