Town target Championship defender

Huddersfield Town, 17:59, January 19, 2010 ,

Huddersfield Town are set to seal a loan deal for Preston defender Neal Trotman, who is seeking first team football.

The 22-year-old defender spent the first half of the current campaign on loan at Huddersfield's League One rivals Southampton, scoring twice in 18 appearances.
Trotman's career with the Lilywhites has been hit by injuries and it is thought boss Darren Ferguson is keen to send him out on loan again to gain more experience.
It has now been reported Huddersfield are closing in on the defender with a view to a loan move that would run for the rest of the season.
