Blades ace linked

Hull City, 09:27, November 29, 2009

Hull boss Phil Brown is keeping an eye on Matthew Kilgallon's situation at Sheffield United and is targeting a £2m swoop.

Kilgallon has so far refused to sign a new deal with the Blades and the Championship club are keen to cash in during the January window with a host of clubs known to be keen.

Newcastle failed with a bid to sign him on loan with a view to a permanent move last week and that could open the door for Hull to move in January while Bolton and Wigan have also been linked.

Kilgallon wants to move to the Premiership and Tigers boss Phil Brown is keen as he looks to finally replace Michael Turner who left for Sunderland in the summer.

Hull are ready to offer the player a three- year deal worth around £25,000-a-week.
