Brown backed by players

Hull City, 11:05, November 9, 2009 ,

Hull's record signing Jimmy Bullard claims all the players are behind Phil Brown and want him to stay on as their manager.

Brown has been under immense pressure this season and the axe looked likely to fall after the Tigers dropped into the relegation places, but a win over Stoke has seen them move out of the bottom three.
There are reports that new chairman Adam Pearson will keep Brown for at least the remainder of the season and Bullard says all the players are behind the boss.
He told sporthull: "We thoroughly believe in the manager and the staff and we want him to stay.
"I believe he will - and hopefully for a long time. He is a great man and a great manager."
