Celta frontman close to Tigers move
Hull City, 18:23, August 11, 2009 ,
Hull City have agreed personal terms with Celta Vigo's Algerian international striker Kemal Ghilas, according to a report.
Sky Sports claims the 25-year-old hitman is on the verge of signing a deal with the Tigers to bolster the Premier League side's forward line following a pre-season of frustration for boss Phil Brown.
Attempts to snap up Michael Owen, Bobby Zamora, Daryl Murphy and Fraizer Campbell all came to nothing, but City did manage to take teenage American hitman Jozy Altidore on a season-long loan from Villarreal this week. And Brown is now set to add a second front man with Ghilas finally arriving in the Premier League, having been already been linked with both Blackburn and Bolton earlier in the summer.
Meanwhile midfielder Stephen Hunt is set to finalise his move from Reading after passing a medical at the KC Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
