Dowie looks for Tigers' 'bouncebackability'
Hull City, 12:34, March 17, 2010 ,
New Hull manager Iain Dowie says everyone at the KC Stadium has to be "positive" and keep a "cool head" if they are to stay up.
The former Crystal Palace and QPR boss has been appointed as the successor to Phil Brown and those eyeing a free bet on the Tigers, should note that Dowie plans to make Hull "difficult to beat".
With just eight games of their season remaining, Hull currently sit in the relegation drop zone - three points from safety - but Dowie remains confident that he can turn things around.
The 45-year-old, who has signed a contract that runs to the end of the season, stated: "I want us to play open, attractive football but out of possession I want us to be difficult.
"It's about cool heads, taking opportunities when they come, and a positive outlook."
Dowie will take charge of team affairs for the first time this weekend, when Hull travel to Portsmouth, and has appointed Tim Flowers and Steve Wigley as first-team coaches.
