Former West Ham manager Alan Curbishley is being linked with the Hull job if Phil Brown gets the chop at the KC Stadium.
The axe is said to be hovering over Brown after a poor start to the season at Hull and the departure of former chairman Paul Duffen, and Curbishley's name has been mentioned.
He is a well respected manager who has proven he can operate on a limited budget yet still produce a winning side and he is also a free agent.
Curbishley won his claim for constructive dismissal by West Ham on Tuesday.
