Foxes ace in City link

Hull City, 11:43, August 24, 2009 ,

Hull City are set to make a £4million swoop for Leicester striker Matty Fryatt before the transfer deadline, according to reports.

Tabloid speculation claims Tigers boss Phil Brown is still hoping to bolster his forward line before next Tuesday's deadline and has set his sights on Fryatt, who was the Foxes' top scorer last term as they clinched the League One title and made a quick return to the Championship.
The 23-year-old, who signed a new three-and-a half year contract with Leicester last December, is already making his mark in the second tier of English football with three goals in five games, including the winner against Barnsley on Saturday.
Foxes chief Nigel Pearson will be loathe to lose such a crucial player at this stage of the transfer window, while Fryatt has previously said he would be happy to realise his Premier League ambitions at the Walkers Stadium.
Therefore Brown could have his work cut out to clinch a deal for Fryatt.
