Players saved me from sack - Brown
Hull City, 10:11, November 30, 2009 ,
Hull boss Phil Brown has thanked the players at Hull for saving him from getting the sack at the KC Stadium.
The Tigers boss looked to be on his way out of the club just four weeks ago with the team struggling for points and sinking towards the bottom of the table.
The team has responded to the challenge though and eight points from their last four games has seen the Tigers pull away from the wrong end of the table and Brown believes the players have saved him from getting the sack at the club.
"Results keep you in this business," said Brown."The change of chairmanship always causes problems in terms of which direction we are going and what is around the corner - change in itself in football causes anxiety - but the response of the players is the reason why I am still sitting here as Hull City manager.
"There are a lot of characters in the dressing room who have pulled together in my hour of need and in Hull City's hour of need.
"All of that has resulted in better performances which has led to better results."
