Tigers in first for Beye

Hull City, 19:20, August 6, 2009 ,

Hull City chairman Paul Duffen has revealed the Tigers have agreed a fee for Newcastle defender Habib Beye.

The Senegal international is not certain to sign for Phil Brown, however, with Aston Villa also rumoured to be interested.
Duffen hopes to meet the 31-year-old to discuss personal terms after meeting Newcastle's valuation on a frenzied day of transfer activity for the club today.
Brown has captured £3million midfielder Seyi Olofinjana from Stoke and added USA striker Jozy Altidore to his squad.
The American hitman, who scored a stunning goal against Spain in the recent Confederations Cup, arrives on a season-long loan from Villarreal, subject to a work permit.
Duffen said: "Habib Beye is a player we believe can add quality to the Hull squad. We are hoping to engage in conversation with him in the next couple of days."
