Tigers ready for battle

Hull City, 08:45, November 16, 2009 ,

Hull City chairman Adam Pearson says they are ready for the battle to avoid the drop but they cannot spend their way out of trouble.

Pearson has returned to the club and as well as revealing the club's debts has managed to get the club back on track and he now hopes they are a stronger knowing the problems they now face.
Pearson also now believes the fans are back on track and that everyone is pulling in the same direction which will give the team every chance of escaping the drop but he has warned they will not be able to splash the cash to help.
"It has been a really long two weeks," Pearson told Sporthull.
"But now I think fans are aware that the club is in a difficult financial environment and hopefully we can all come together in the realisation that we haven't got the chequebook way of getting out of trouble. It's just not open to this club.
"I think that it has needed some re-focus and some direction and hopefully I can do that."
