Hull are set to unveil new signings Stephen Hunt and Kamel Ghilas today and are closing in on a £12m swoop for striker Alvaro Negredo.
The staggering £12m offer for the 23-year-old from Real Madrid would, if correct, smash the club's current transfer record of £5m paid for Jimmy Bullard last season.
Hull have neither confirmed or denied that a bid is in place, but sources in Spain claim Negredo is considering quitting the Bernabeu, where he would probably spend his time sitting on the bench, for the KC Stadium.
Meanwhile midfielder Hunt and striker Ghilas are set to be unveiled at a press conference at lunchtime as Phil Brown puts the final touches to his squad, the duo will join Seyi Olofinjana, year-long loan signing Jozy Altidore and Steven Mouyokolo at the KC Stadium.
