Tigers wait on defender

Hull City, 14:13, August 26, 2009 ,

Hull boss Phil Brown believes Paul McShane will fit straight back in when he completes his move to the club on Wednesday.

The defender is set to complete a £2m move back to Hull, where he spent four months on loan last season, after completing a medical and agreeing personal terms with the club.
The deal for the Sunderland player is expected to go through on Wednesday and will make his debut after the international break as he is currently struggling with injury.
Brown told the Mail: "I think he is well-known and well-liked by supporters here.
"He's got the heart-on-the-sleeve, never-say-die attitude of a player that puts everything into his performance whether he's in a Hull City strip or an Ireland strip.
"He can only be an asset for the way he played in the first half of last season.
"He watched from afar at Sunderland seeing us struggling for survival in the Premier League but now that we have, that's one of the main reasons why he wanted to come back."
