We deserved our luck - Horton

Hull City, 15:15, November 9, 2009 ,

Hull assistant manager Brian Horton was delighted with the three points picked up against Stoke on Sunday.

The Tigers relieved some of the pressure on boss Phil Brown as two goals in the second half from Seyi Olofinjana and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink saw City overturn a half time deficit to secure a win that moved them out of the relegation places.
"I thought we were unlucky to go a goal down," Horton told the club's website."Then we had a little bit of luck in the second half when that one (from Anthony Gardner) trickled just past our own post, but they had a little bit of luck on their line as well.
"We earned the win. The lads kept going, got on the ball and deserved it. They did exactly what we wanted them to do and the two finishes for the goals were exquisite.
"We needed the three points. The lads have stuck together all week and so have the staff. The fans were tremendous too.
"Last weekend at Burnley they were right behind Phil (Brown). On Sunday, we went a goal down and they could have turned. They didn't, they stayed with us and we got our just rewards."
