AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has refuted claims he is set to be shown the door if his side is beaten by Malaga.

The Rossoneri have made a dreadful start to the season, winning two and losing five of their first eight games to lie in 11th position in the Serie A table, just two points above the relegation zone. Allegri has not been helped by the departure of a number of key players over the summer but pressure is growing over his future at the club. Milan lie second in Group C in the Champions League, following a win and a draw, but the recent rumours suggest he will be axed if his side loses in Spain on Wednesday night. However, Allegri is not paying too much attention to the rumour-mill and is confident that he can turn the club's fortunes around. "You will have to ask the club because my future seems to be always under discussion," Allegri said. "But, I'm only thinking about the team and I really don't think the match against Malaga will be my last on the bench. "This is not an easy time but we are trying to improve and we must try and keep our nerve. "I'm convinced this team have the characteristics to leave this crisis behind because let's face it, we don't deserve the seven points we currently have in the standings."
