Sergio Canales insists Valencia can overturn their 4-2 first-leg deficit when they meet Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi.
Los Che are 4-2 down from the first game last week but have home advantage on Thursday as they look to come back and book a final place in the competition.
Canales, on loan from Real Madrid, knows Atletico are in the driving seat in the tie but he insists if his side approach the game in the right way and keep it tight at the back, then they can still go through.
"It is going to be as important to score goals as it is to keep a clean sheet," he told the Valencia website.
"The game will be tough and we have a difficult task ahead, but we have to go out onto the pitch with all the desire in the world."
He added: "We had one of our worst games of the year in the first leg, whilst Atletico had one of their best," he added.
"The tie is still alive, our aim is to get to the final and we know that this requires winning a very hard game and giving all that we have."
