Capello praise for Pearce and Clemence
International Football, 13:00, June 21, 2009 ,
England boss Fabio Capello has praised the work of Stuart Pearce and Ray Clemence and claims having English coaches is vital.
The Italian tactician has guided England through an exceptional World Cup qualifying campaign in which the side has won all seven of their games in Group 6.
Capello may have fellow Italian Franco Baldini as his assistant but he has highlighted the importance of having Englishmen in his coaching staff, such as goalkeeping coach Clemence and Under 21s manager Pearce.
"I think it is really important that Ray Clemence and Stuart Pearce work with me because they are English." Capello told Sky Sports.
"For me it is really important that some of my staff are English coaches.
"In every club that I have worked at I have always had my staff but some coaches from the club."
Punters who feel that under Capello England can go all the way in the World Cup may wish to use their free bet to back the Three Lions.
