Capello won't take crocked stars

International Football, 13:30, November 8, 2009 ,

England boss Fabio Capello has confirmed he will only select full-fit players for his final 23-man World Cup squad.

England have been guilty of taking injured players to major tournaments in the past, with metatarsal injuries affecting David Beckham in 2002 and Wayne Rooney in 2006.
However, Capello has confirmed he will only take players who are fully-fit as he bids to land the top prize in international football.
"The players with us in South Africa will be all fit," Capello said. "It's impossible to wait for one player. Little things are okay, but bigger problems and they will not be there.
"If you have to recover someone it's no good. When we go it will not be the warm season, when it's easier to recover. It will be cold in South Africa."
Punters may wish to use their free bet to back England to take the 2010 World Cup after Capello's strong words regarding his selection process.
