Dortmund star hails mental strength

Mats Hummels has praised Borussia Dortmund's mental strength after their 2-0 win at Freiburg on Saturday.

The Bundesliga champions have struggled for consistency in the league this season, with it being suggested that after winning back-to-back domestic crowns their players are now more focused on making their mark in Europe.
Jurgen Klopp's men went into the match at the Mage Solar Stadium on the back of an historic midweek win over Real Madrid, but proved their class with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Christian Streich's side.
Hummels has now praised his fellow team-mates for not getting carried away by their success against Los Blancos and proving they're good enough to battle on all fronts.
"It's undoubtedly an important victory," he said. "We had to switch from the game against Real Madrid, because of how the table is now. We have proven that we can rise to the challenge."
