It has now been confirmed that new England boss Roy Hodgson will name his preliminary squad for Euro 2012 on May 16.

The 64-year-old is of course currently preparing for West Brom's final match of the Premier League season, with the team hosting top-four chasing Arsenal on Sunday. With his Baggies' commitments, Hodgson has had little time to prepare for international duty and will have just three days to finalise his initial squad. The players will then get together for a four-day training camp in Spain before they travel to Oslo to take on Norway in a friendly on May 26. Hodgson must then submit his final squad list to UEFA on May 29, before England host their final warm-up game at Wembley against Belgium ahead of the tournament in Poland and Ukraine. Punters looking to use their free bet will no doubt take note of the lack of preparation time for the new man at the helm, with England kicking off their tournament against France on June 11 before taking on Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine.
