Ronaldo in quit threat

International Football, 16:11, November 19, 2008 ,

Former World Player of the Year Ronaldo has revealed he could quit football as he struggles to battle back from a serious knee injury.

The former Brazil striker has not played since February when he ruptured a tendon in his knee playing for Milan and there have been suggestions he will decide to quit playing rather than battle back from his latest setback.
The 32-year-old's career has been blighted in the past few years by a series of lengthy injuries and he has admitted he has yet to decide whether to hang up his boots.
"I don't know if I will continue to play or if I will retire," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I have not taken a decision yet.
"I am in no hurry to make a decision. I want to complete my recovery. I could decide tomorrow or in a month's time what to do, but I still don't know."
