Daniel van Buyten has penned a one-year extension to his Bayern Munich contract to stay on with the German giants until 2013.

The Belgian, who is likely to be in Bayern's starting line-up for the Champions League final due to the suspension of Holger Badstuber, was out of contract in the summer but has now agreed a one-year extension.
Van Buyten, who has played a total of 133 games for the Bundesliga club, has had a campaign disrupted by injury but he adds vital experience to the club's backline.
"We are pleased that Daniel will still be playing for Bayern Munich next season," said Bayern's director of sport Christian Nerlinger on his club's website.
"We know what we get with him. His qualities and experience will remain an important component of our squad in future."
