Van Marwijk hopeful over qualification
Coach Bert van Marwijk is refusing to rule out Holland's chances of making it out of Group B at Euro 2012.
The Dutch have lost both of their group games so far and know making the knockout stage is now out of their hands. An opening shock defeat to Denmark was followed up by a 2-1 loss to Germany to leave one of the pre-tournament favourites on the brink of an embarrassing early exit. Arguably a side boasting the likes of Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben and Ibrahim Afellay should have managed more than one goal in two games, but failure to take their chances has cost the 2010 World Cup finalists dear. However, van Marwijk is still bullish as he looks for a favour from the Germans against Denmark and also a Dutch win over Portugal. He said: "We cannot imagine that it is over when we are at this level."
