Veteran still wants England role

David James believes he can still play a part in the England set up despite opting to move to Championship side Bristol City.

The former Aston Villa, Liverpool and Manchester City shot stopper had been linked with moves to Sunderland and Celtic before finally deciding on joining the Robins.
The move represents a massive coup for the South-West club, who have ambitions of building a new stadium and being the first team from the region to reach the Premier League.
Despite the club's lofty ambitions, they are still currently a Championship side, meaning James will not be playing at the same level as the other potential England international keepers.
It has been speculated that the move to Bristol City would curtail the 39-year-old's chances of playing international football again.
However, James believes he can still impress at Ashton Gate and is keen to keep his England career going.
"I don't know what the future holds, and it was the same before the World Cup to be honest," James told City's official website.
"I enjoyed the World Cup to an extent, but obviously the results and the outcome were disappointing.
"I'll never retire from England and hopefully my performances at Bristol City will keep me on the radar."
