Villa having 'bad time'
International Football, 14:12, June 21, 2009 ,
Valencia hotshot and Real Madrid target David Villa doesn't expect his future to be resolved any time soon.
The Los Che frontman has become one of the most sought after players in world football with the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool all credited with an interest in his services.
It had seemed certain he would depart Valencia over the summer as the club is reportedly around 450million euros in debt, but Villa's agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, has now claimed the Spanish giants are unwilling to let Villa leave.
Villa has admitted that he doesn't expect his future to be resolved quickly and claims the continuous transfer speculation has been a difficult time for him.
"I don't believe that my future will be settled quickly," said Villa.
"The past week hasn't been easy, nobody can imagine what I've been through. It has been a really bad time. I must just put it out of my mind."
The 27-year-old has stated he is happy to stay at the Mestalla and has ruled out a move away from Spain with Real Madrid widely reported to be in pole position if Valencia are forced into a sale. However it is thought Chelsea are still interested in signing the prolific goal scorer.
