Villa will reject Prem move

International Football, 11:35, March 14, 2009 ,

David Villa will not leave Spain in the summer even if Valencia decide to cash in on their star player, according to his agent.

Los Che are struggling financially and have admitted that they may be forced to sell some of their players, with Villa likely to attract the most attention.
The Spain international has already been linked with big-spending Manchester City, while Barcelona and Real Madrid are also said to be keen on signing the player.
City officials did meet with their Valencia counterparts before the opening of the transfer window but his valuation was above what they were willing to pay.
The player's agent Luis Tamargo has now rejected any chance of his charge moving to the Premier League, insisting he will remain in his homeland.
Tamargo told El Mundo: "For sure he won't move on from Spain.
"I don't know what kind of contact there has been (between Man City and Valencia) or if they have reached an agreement, but he won't be playing away from this country.
"It's not a question of money.
"At the moment Villa is only focused on the team."
