Veteran defender David Weir is set to be handed a return to Scotland boss George Burley's squad for the clash with Norway next month.
The 38-year-old Glasgow Rangers stopper missed his country's opening two Group Nine World Cup qualifiers against Macedonia and Iceland due to injury.
However, Weir is now fit and Burley has hinted that he could be in line to face the Norwegians at Hampden Park on October 11 given that captain Stephen McManus is suspended.
Rangers full-back Kirk Broadfoot and Hearts midfielder Michael Stewart will also definitely be in the party as Burley formulates his plans.
"Kirk Broadfoot and Michael Stewart, who were both called into the squad for the matches in Macedonia and Iceland, will keep their places," he told The People.
"Weir is under consideration, and as this is not a double-header, we have enough cover in the central defensive positions with Gary Caldwell, Darren Barr and Christophe Berra, while Broadfoot can also play there."
