Gattuso drops Milan hint

Gennaro Gattuso has dropped a big hint that he could leave AC Milan because of his lack of first-team opportunities.

The combative Italy midfielder has fallen foul of coach Leonardo's rotation policy at the San Siro and has also struggled with injury this season, restricting him to just seven league starts.

The 32-year-old says it is crucial he gets more game-time in a World Cup year and revealed he may look for other options if his situation does not improve.

"I am Rino Gattuso and I cannot wait for someone to get injured in order to play," he told Corriere dello Sport.

"I would be lying if I said that everything is okay.

"At this time I am not happy because of the injury and the fact that I am not being used much.

"I still feel strong and I am disappointed not to be able to prove it.

"I don't accept the thought that I am no longer indispensable."
