Boss eyes striking improvement

Ipswich Town, 10:40, February 8, 2010 ,

Ipswich boss Roy Keane has urged his players to become more clinical in the final third following Saturday's draw with Middlesbrough.

The Tractor Boys scored after just 23 seconds on Saturday thanks to a goal from debutant Daryl Murphy but were pegged back in the 62nd minute after David Wheater headed home for Boro, leaving Town just a point above the relegation zone.
Ipswich have managed just 32 goals all season and Keane is frustrated about the problems his side are facing in the vital areas of the pitch.
He told the club's website: "Scoring goals has been a problem for us all season. In the second half we got in some really good positions but we just needed the final ball. The final ball is the most important one in football.
"If you look at what happens between the two boxes we do reasonably well. But what goes on in the boxes it what life's all about."
