Defender close to new deal

Tom Eastman is tipped to be offered a senior deal before the end of April after an impressive reserves' display in front of Roy Keane.

The teenager stood out in Town's 3-1 second string success over Colchester, with the manager sitting in the stands, which will have furthered his claims for a professional contract.
Keane has already praised the 18-year-old's recent displays in the reserves and the manager has suggested that some of his young players will be given a chance in the first team before the end of the season.
Owen Garvan and Lee Martin both enhanced their first-team chances after scoring for the second string, while Liam Rosenior and Pablo Counago also featured.
