Double striker raid for Town

Ipswich Town, 17:18, February 1, 2010 ,

Roy Keane has signed Sunderland strikers Daryl Murphy and David Healy on loan until the end of the season.

Town boss Keane has raided his former club to sign 26-year-old Murphy, who has nine Republic of Ireland caps to his name, after he slipped down the pecking order under Steve Bruce this season at the Stadium of Light. Murphy has only managed seven league and cup appearances with the Black Cats so he will hope to get some first team action under his belt between now and the summer.
Murphy's Sunderland team-mate Healy is also teaming up with Keane at Portman Road until the summer after failing to force his way into the Black Cats' first-team. The Northern Ireland international legend will be over the moon to get the chance to play some regular football.
He told the BBC recently: "I'm more than willing to go back to the Championship and get back to enjoying my football again."
He added: "It's been a disappointing time and people have said that it's time to move on but when you have a contract and a family where you live, sometimes it's difficult."
