Injured pair in line for pre-season

Ipswich Town, 19:49, June 15, 2009 ,

Ipswich are hopeful strikers Jordan Rhodes and Jon Walters will both be fit to take a full part in pre-season training.

Rhodes broke a metatarsal in his foot while on loan at Brentford while Walters picked up an ankle injury towards the end of the campaign.
But Town physio Matt Byard says both players are now making good progress in their recoveries.
He told the club's website: "Jon has seen a specialist and had a scan and he's progressing well.
"He is back doing some running and will be stepping up his recovery with some multi-directional work and then some ball work."
Byard added: "As things stand, he should be back for the start of pre-season training and it's the same with Jordan. He's had an x-ray and is doing well.
"He's running and will increase his workload over the next week or so with some football drills and should be back in training for the start of July."
