Ipswich boss Paul Jewell saluted his side's performance as they finally ended their winless run against Watford with a 1-0 victory at Vicarage Road.
A last-gasp Michael Chopra goal ended Ipswich's remarkable 15-game run without a win against their Hertfordshire opponents - stretching back in all competitions to 2004.
Jewell said: "We played outstanding, I felt, (in the) first half. The only thing that concerned me was we were so much on top, you know any team at any level is going to come back into it and I just didn't want to see that extra touch and being that bit sloppy in possession.
"We knew they would have a bit more of the game in the second half and that was the case but to score a goal and keep a clean sheet, I thought was the least we deserved."
He added: "Watford's been a bit of a bogey team for us over the last few years and it was nice to put that to bed. But it's done now and we're looking forward to the next game."
