Knee blow scupper's Town loan man's Toon bid

Ipswich Town, 13:02, April 23, 2010 ,

On-loan Sunderland striker David Healy will miss Ipswich's trip to champions Newcastle on Saturday due to a knee injury.

The Northern Ireland international hitman missed the 1-1 draw against Doncaster at Portman Road last weekend due to the problem and the signs are that he has played his last game on loan for Town. However Daryl Murphy, who is also on loan from the Black Cats, will hope to end a six-game scoring drought against his parent club's deadly rivals and end their hopes of remaining unbeaten on home soil for the entire season.
Meanwhile another former Sunderland man, Carlos Edwards, will be absent following a bout of chicken pox, while keeper Richard Wright is certain to be on the bench again after recently returning from a five-month knee injury absence.
Damien Delaney is out for the remaining two games of the season so boss Roy Keane will stick with youngster Tommy Smith.
Youngsters Troy Brown, Tom Eastman, Billy Clarke and Luke Hyam will all be hoping to get a taste of first-team football on the big stage at St James' Park after being named on the bench against Rovers last week.
