Lee Martin has revealed his desire to pen a new contract with Ipswich - but admits the decision is down to the powers that be at Portman Road.

The attacking midfielder still has 12 months remaining on his deal with Town, but manager Paul Jewell is keen to cut out the ongoing speculation which always surrounds the futures of those in the final year of their contract, as is currently the case with Grant Leadbitter.
That means Martin, 25, could be offered fresh terms this summer and, having finally started to settle at the club following his 2009 arrival, he is keen to talk.
"The quicker something gets sorted the better from my point of view because my career here has only just started really," he told the Green'Un.
"I'm finally playing in what I think is my best position, I'm maturing every day and I think I can kick on next season.
"I'm more than happy here and don't feel the need to go anywhere else. I want some stability, but it depends on whether the manager wants to keep me and whether the owner agrees."
