Watford striker Tamas Priskin is reportedly undergoing a medical at Ipswich with Giovani Dos Santos set to rejoin on loan.
Town chief Roy Keane has been chasing a new striker this summer and made a personal check on Priskin last weekend in a friendly.
And now it is believed the Hungarian is undergoing a medical after a fee of £1.7m was agreed with the Hornets.
Meanwhile, Keane is hopeful former loan forward Giovani will also end up back at Portman Road.
He said: "I spoke to Harry Redknapp about Gio when he was here last year.
"Big clubs know the players get looked after here and are coming to a real club and a manager that will make sure they will train properly and be on time."
