Sunderland eye Town prodigy

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has confirmed he is keen on signing Ipswich's highly-rated youngster Connor Wickham.
The 17-year-old has caught the eye of plenty of Premier League managers this season after bursting onto the scene in the Championship for Town.
The youngster has hit two goals in his last three games for the Tractor Boys and Bruce is the latest top-flight boss to sit up and take notice.
The Black Cats boss admits Sunderland would face competition from across the Premier League for the teenager if he decided to launch a bid for him in the summer.
"We're aware of the lad, he's a very talented boy," Bruce told the Sunderland Echo.
"But if he became available I'm sure there would be plenty of other clubs - not just us - who would like to be kept in the picture."
