Town bid for rivals striker
Ipswich Town, 16:31, August 4, 2009 ,
Ipswich are on the verge of signing Tamas Priskin after making an official bid for the Watford striker.
Reports yesterday indicated that Roy Keane was ready to offer £1million for the Hungarian after being spotted at Vicarage Road on Saturday watching the Hornets' 3-2 win over Palma.
Priskin's agent Joseph Vörösbaranyi has today told Nemzeti Sport that Ipswich have made a formal offer for Priskin and claims the two clubs are on the verge of reaching an agreement.
"I cannot reveal the price, but I may confirm that Ipswich have made a very serious offer for Watford's Tamas Priskin," said Vörösbaranyi.
"We wait for the club's answer now, but I believe that an agreement will be made between the two clubs."
