Town could axe 10 as Keane plans overhaul

Ipswich Town, 15:08, April 28, 2010 ,

Ipswich boss Roy Keane could axe up to 10 players this summer with Richard Wright, Jon Stead and Alex Bruce all set to depart.

Keane had hoped to lead Ipswich to a promotion challenge this season but after a disastrous start to the campaign the Tractor Boys found themselves fighting relegation for the majority of the season and the Town boss is keen to avoid a repeat next year.
It has been reported Keane will look to move a number of his current playing staff on in the summer as he looks to build a squad capable of competing at the top of the Championship table.
Wright, Bruce and Stead, who is currently on loan at Coventry, are all expected to be moved on in the summer, while Liam Rosenior, Pim Balkestein, David Wright, Owen Garvan, Alan Quinn, Liam Trotter, Colin Healy and Pablo Counago could also be heading for the exit at Portman Road.
